Pairsh Council registers with the Information Commissions Office
Gregg Redford 10th April 2018

As a result of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ('GDPR')  Directive which comes into force on the 25th May 2018 the on the advice of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LOCAL COUNCILS the Parish Council has registered with the INFORMATION COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE.  A copy of the Certificate is available from the download section of thissite or by clicking here.

Steps have also been taken to appoint a Data Protection Officer as required by the Regulations. The GDPR has  been incorporated into the Data Protection Bill currently going through Parliament.

Whilst the Parish Council does not process any meaningful amount of Personal Data, the protocols and systems required to process such data must be put in place.  This will increase the workload of the Parish Clerk and together with other requirements of the directive will no doubt increase the administrative costs of the parish council.
